ROYAL ASCOT MARKET MOVES

PUNTERS SIDE WITH FANSHAWE

June 24

1400: James Fanshawe has had a great week already at Royal Ascot and punters are backing him to round it off in style.

He sends out Firenze in the Wokingham Stakes at 4.25pm and the Efisio mare, who has a great draw in stall one, is 11/2 from 6/1 with Blue Square and Sporting Odds and 5/1 from 6/1 with Coral.

Clive Brittain's Bahiano has also attracted a bit of each-way support in the same race and is now 16/1 from 25s at Sporting Odds.

Finally mention must also be made of Glistening in the 4.55pm event.

He's now 4/1 from 5/1 with Hills and Paddy Power while Coral and Stan James are both 7/2 from 9/2.

1300: Here's a look at the movers on Betfair ahead of the final day of Royal Ascot:

2.30:

Champlain has been solid. Backed at a high of 5.0 (4/1), he is now 4.0 (3/1).

Country Song is being opposed. Backed at a low of 3.75 (11/4), he is now 5.3 (4/1).

3.05:

The withdrawal of Shawanda has changed the shape of the race somewhat and the market is still settling down.

Mountain High has been solid at around the 4.9 (4/1) mark.

Hard Top has been backed in from a high of 6.0 (5/1) into 5.2 (4/1).

3.45:

Gift Horse is popular, in from 11.5 (10/1) to 7.6 (13/2).

Glamour Puss is in from 13 (12/1) to 8.6 (15/2).

There is a bit of opposition to Takeover Target, out from a low of 3.5 (5/2) to 3.85 (11/4).

Punters are keen to take on the last Godolphin hope of the Royal Meeting, Iffraaj is out from 6.2 (5/1) to 8.2 (7/1).

4.25:

Quiet in terms of big moves. Kostar is in from 23 (22/1) to 15.5 (14/1).

4.55:

Chantaco has been opposed, he is out from 13.5 (12/1) to 19.5 (18/1).

5.30:

Cover Up has drifted from a low of 2.7 (7/4) out to 4.2 (3/1).

Top Jockey:

Spencer 1.74 (8/11)

Fallon 2.3 (5/4)

1230: Three winners at Royal Ascot yesterday underlined that the Mark Johnston stable has hit form and punters have latched on to that fact today.

For the Middleham trainer's Always Fruitful has been backed to get them off to a flying start in the opening Chesham Stakes at 2.30pm.

His form ties in with Coventry winner Hellvelyn and the Fruits Of Love colt is now 5/2 from 3/1 with Blue Square and Paddy Power, 11/4 from 3/1 with Bet Direct and totalbet and 11/4 from 7/2 at Ladbrokes.

1100: It's the final day of Royal Ascot and the first move to note is that Takeover Target is proving far from popular in his bid to land the King's Stand-Jubilee Stakes double.

The Aussie sprinter has been easy to back for the 3.45pm event thus far and is out to 14/5 from 5/2 with totalbet and is now as big as 4/1 on betfair.

Moving in the other direction is another Australian raider in the shape of Glamour Puss.

She gave the impression in her staying-on seventh in the King's Stand that the extra furlong would suit here and is now 8/1 from 12/1 with VC Bet and 8/1 from 10/1 with Ladbrokes.
