British showjumper Michael Whitaker enjoyed World Cup success - just two weeks after completing a four-month ban.
Whitaker and Insul Tech Amai won the fourth leg of this year's Rolex FEI World Cup series in Verona, Italy.
The combination blazed to victory, winning the jump-off by more than a half a second from German rider Gilbert Bockmann (No Father's Girl), while reigning European champion Kevin Staut, of France, was third aboard Silvana.
Yorkshireman Whitaker's stallion Tackeray tested positive for altrenogest during a Nations Cup show in France earlier this year.
Altrenogest is a hormone found in a product called regumate. It is allowed to be given to mares, but not stallions, because it has a calming effect.
Whitaker, 49, was suspended until October 24, with this year's European Championships at Windsor among the high-profile events he missed as a result.
His victory in Verona saw him land a top prize of 36,200 Euros, and he becomes the first British winner of a World Cup event in the 2009/2010 series.
