Pakistan face an anxious wait to discover whether big-hitting Shahid Afridi will be fit after injuring his hip against Bangladesh.
Afridi's often astounding hitting has propelled Pakistan from an unlikely position into the final. But he may yet miss out, and a late decision is anticipated just before the toss.
Having carried Pakistan to victory over India, Afridi was at it again with an 18-ball 50 to chase 326 against Bangladesh.
"I just knew that both the matches were important for Pakistan to win," he said.
"There is no such thing that you will score runs with the bat every day."
Sri Lanka, meanwhile, are hoping Mahela Jayawardene can return to form on the big stage.
All-rounder Thisara Perera said: "He normally bats very well - it's only in the last three to four matches he has failed.
"He's our key batsman, along with (Kumar) Sangakkara. We hope he comes back to form against Pakistan."
