Scotland progress
Scotland secured their place in the play-off round of the Women's World Curling Championships in Riga with two round-robin games to spare.
Eve Muirhead's team beat Italy 8-4 to stretch their record to eight wins from nine and guarantee their top four berth, having edged past Denmark 8-6 earlier in the day.
Muirhead said her target was now to sustain Scotland's top two place in the standings, which would mean a straight play-off for a place in Sunday's world final.
Muirhead said: "It was solid out there and that has guaranteed us a play-off slot.
"That was our first goal, so I'm really chuffed. Now we've just got to concentrate as we want to get in the one-two play-off.''
