Ratcliffe takes GB canoeing role
Olympic silver medallist Paul Ratcliffe has been appointed GB Canoeing's canoe slalom podium head coach.

Originally from Manchester, 39-year-old Ratcliffe was canoe slalom world number one for four years in succession before winning the K1 silver medal at Sydney 2000.
A GB Canoeing coach since 2004 he was among coaches who graduated from UK Sport's elite coach programme in 2007 and began working at Lee Valley White Water Centre in Hertfordshire as podium coach in 2011.
During the last Olympic training cycle he guided the women's kayak class to World and European Championships medals and coached Lizzie Neave at the London 2012 Olympics.
