Clan move for Miller

Braehead Clan have become the second Elite League side to take advantage of the National Hockey League lock-out by signing Detroit Red Wings forward Drew Miller.

The 28-year-old American has registered 85 points in 322 regular-season and play-off games in the NHL and was part of the Anaheim Ducks team which won the Stanley Cup in the 2007/2008 season.

Miller said: "I am happy to have signed a contract with the Clan and I look forward to getting over there and working with the guys."

Last month, play-off and Challenge Cup champions Nottingham Panthers brought in Carolina Hurricanes forward Anthony Stewart.
