Donald McCain's versatile performer jumped soundly around Town Moor as he got the better of Conquisto by 25 lengths over almost two and half miles.
Jockey Jason Maguire reported after the race that faster ground would be more in his favour and also when he is allowed to roll along over two miles.
The bookies were split, almost 50-50, between cutting Overturn for the Arkle or leaving him unchanged.
BetVictor were impressed and cut Overturn from 6s to 5/1 for the Arkle but Sky Bet (5/1) and Ladbrokes (7s) both left him unchanged. Paddy Power also offer 7/1.
Boylesports spokesman Leon Blanche, whose firm go 6s, said: "Once again Overturn showed his ability with his win at Doncaster. He was a classy hurdler and flat performer and has transferred this talent to fences.
"However, Simonsig has been hugely impressive over fences this season and is still the one that the punters want in the Arkle."
David Williams, of Ladbrokes, added: "Overturn impressed again but with Simonsig rock solid in the ante-post book and plenty of horses being backed, we were happy to leave Donald McCain's horse unchanged for the time being."
Nicky Henderson's Simonsig can be backed at a best price of even money with bet365.
