Arsenal have been cut to 5/6 with Sky Bet to finish in the top four of the Premier League after they moved up to fifth with a thumping 5-2 win at rock-bottom Reading on Monday night.

The result also eased the pressure on Arsene Wenger, with Sky Bet pushing the Frenchman out to 9/1 to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job while Royals boss Brian McDermott, who was favourite in this market before this clash, was further trimmed to 6/5.

Wenger had called for a response following last week's shock Capital One Cup penalty shoot-out defeat at Bradford - and got it as the visitors surged into a 3-0 half-time lead following Lukas Podolski's well-taken goal and a brace from Santi Cazorla.

The Spaniard completed his treble on the hour, and although the Royals rallied with goals from substitute Adam Le Fondre and Jimmy Kebe, Arsenal made sure there would be no late drama when Theo Walcott slotted in a fifth with 10 minutes left to close within two points of fourth-placed Tottenham, who have subsequently drifted to as big as 11/8 with bet365.

Arsenal and Spurs were both 5/6 in Sky Bet's season-long match bet to finish higher following the latter's win over Swansea on Sunday but the Gunners are now marginally ahead at 4/5 (Spurs 10/11).

Reading remain six points from safety and they've been cut to 1/9 with Sky Bet in the relegation betting.
