The world number one secured the Race To Dubai title when Louis Oosthuizen was unable to win the Barclays Singapore Open, but put the seal on a spectacular year with stunning victory in the season-ending DP World Tour Championship.

McIlroy closed with five birdies in five holes to beat Justin Rose by two shots, after the latter had stormed to a final-round 62 to pile pressure on his Ryder Cup team-mate.

Coral make McIlroy 2/1 to repeat the feat in 2013, one he achieved without winning a single event in Europe to underline the changing face of the Tour.

Sky Bet have him considerably shorter at 5/4, with bet365 and BetVictor prepared to lay 6/4 about a repeat success.

Luke Donald is next at 8/1 with BetVictor - Coral have him at 5/1 - while Rose is a 14/1 shot with Coral having enjoyed the most successful year in his career.

Inaugural winner Lee Westwood is as short as 12/1 in places but Coral lay a standout 20s, meaning that 18/1 chance Oosthuizen is fourth in the betting.

The PGA Tour Money List is priced as a tigher affair, with Stan James and bet365 quoting 3/1 about McIlroy.

Tiger Woods is Sky Bet's 11/4 joint-favourite but can be backed at 4/1 with Stan James, Donald is next at 14/1 and it's 18s bar.
