Fernando Alonso, who narrowly missed out on his third title this year is 9/4 second favourite to make amends next year ahead of Jenson Button, the winner of the season's final race at Interlagos, at 10/1.
Spokesman David Stevens said: "Lewis Hamilton was well-backed to end his McLaren career with a race win, so the season's final Grand Prix result has been oaky for us but Sebastian Vettel was by far our biggest Championship outright ante-post loser.
"His hat-trick has proved to be particularly costly, especially after we were given some hope of a win for Fernando Alonso after Vettel's early issues in Brazil.
"This season's two leading championship contenders look as if they will be the men to beat again in 2013, while Lewis Hamilton will find himself in the unusual position of being a relative outsider for the title following his switch to Mercedes," added Stevens.
William Hill make Vettel even money to win his fourth consecutive title and they were breathing a sigh of relief as the German crossed the line as his winning of the title saved them almost £50,000.
Vettel is now 20/1 to win eight or more championships in his career to overtake his hero Michael Schumacher.
"Vettel was not a great result as he was very well backed pre-season and of course he attracted most of the bets in the last few weeks," said spokesman Joe Crilly.
"But for large parts of the season Alonso was the top dog and him winning the championship would have been a shocker."
