Sky Bet and Stan James make QPR an even-money shot to stay up after a busy day that saw Harry Redknapp arrive as manager and a 3-1 defeat at Manchester United.

The loss sees QPR remain as the only Premier League team without a win this season and they are now six points adrift of safety.

"Harry has a real job on his hands to save QPR, but if anyone can do it, he can," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Reading, who lost 3-2 at Wigan, and Southampton, who play Newcastle on Sunday, are the favourites for the drop at 8/11.

QPR are 5/6 for relegation and Aston Villa, who drew 0-0 with Arsenal, and Wigan can be backed at 15/8 and 5/2 respectively.

Title favourites Manchester United have been trimmed to 6/5 after victory at Old Trafford with rivals Chelsea and Manchester City clashing on Sunday.

West Brom are now 16/1 with Betfred and totesport for a top-four spot after moving up to third with a 4-2 win at Sunderland.

"At the start of the season there were a number of people backing West Brom to go down, I think quite possibly their bets could be losers even at this early stage of the season," said Crilly.

Everton sit fifth and can be backed at 13/2 with Ladbrokes for the top-four after drawing 1-1 with Norwich.
