Nicky Henderson's inmate routed his field in the Coral Hurdle under Barry Geraghty and David Williams of Ladbrokes said: "We were seriously impressed with Oscar Whisky.

"He made a mockery of the testing conditions and we're keen to be short about him."

Stan James were less impressed and their spokesman Rory Jiwani added: "We cut him from 25/1 to 14/1 for the Champion Hurdle although Henderson has a plethora of options for that race."

Henderson's Finian's Rainbow had earlier trailed in last of four in the Amlin 1965 Chase on the same card behind Captain Chris and the latter is now 10s from 14s at Ladbrokes for the King George over Christmas.

Long Run has been eased for the latter contest to a best price of 9/2 favourite at Boylesports after his defeat in the Betfair Chase at Haydock Park behind Silvinaco Conti.

The Paul Nicholls-trained Silviniaco Conti will not head to Kempton but he has been slashed for next March's Cheltenham Gold Cup. Stan James make him their 5/1 joint-favourite with Sir Des Champs and Long Run is on offer at 8/1.

Hidden Cyclone was also clipped for the Gold Cup too after he justified favouritism at Gorwan Park - he is now 25/1 (from 33s) at Ladbrokes.

Nicholls is into 6/5 (from 2/1) for the trainers' title at Ladbrokes with Henderson eased to 8/13 (from 1/3)

Williams added: "Silviniaco Conti's victory over Long Run reinforced the view that this year's race for the trainers' title could be incredibly close.

"Paul Nicholls has got off to the faster start whereas Nicky Henderson had somewhat of a hit and miss day at Ascot."

Easter Day has entered the Neptune Novices' Hurdle betting at the Cheltenham Festival on 20/1 after winning at Ascot with Ladbrokes while the same firm make Diakali 20/1 for the Triumph Hurdle following his victory for Willie Mullins in Ireland.
