According to the layers, Harry Redknapp is almost certain to take over at QPR following the dismissal of Mark Hughes.

Ladbrokes had offered 1/2 prior to Hughes' departure, but their revised book sees Redknapp a 1/33 favourite and that's a price echoed by sportingbet.

Stan James quote 1/25, BetVictor offer 1/20 and Paddy Power's 1/16 is the best price available.

A spokesperson for Paddy Power said: "With Redknapp at an unbackable 1/16 it looks as though QPR have got their man and that we can expect some wheeling and dealing at Loftus Road in the near future."

A number of firms including Coral opted not to open betting on the next QPR boss with Redknapp said to be the number one choice at Loftus Road.

"We are expecting a announcement to be made sooner rather than later, with Redknapp the likely replacement for Hughes," said Coral's David Stevens.

Sky Bet and Coral make Nigel Adkins their 2/1 favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave, with the latter offering a standout 6/1 about second-favourite Roberto Mancini.

"Hughes had been as short as 1/5 to be the first top-flight boss to lose his job before the dismissal of Roberto Di Matteo from Chelsea, but with both West London clubs now minus the managers they began the season with, the spotlight falls on the next potential casualty," added Stevens.

Meanwhile, QPR remain 4/7 chances to be relegated, but that's a price likely to improve should Redknapp take over. Bet365 make them 4/1 to fail to win a game prior to Christmas Day, with home games against Fulham and Aston Villa looking their best opportunities on paper.
