Ballista Shoots Down Punters

Saturday's totescoop6 was not won after Ballista wiped out the remaining tickets by winning the Blue Square Bet Golden Rose Stakes at Lingfield.

Al Ferof's victory in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham sent only two tickets into the fourth leg but neither Pandar nor Artistic Jewel could land a blow which means there is a rollover of £209,145 in the win fund and £575,107 in the bonus pot.

"Totescoop6 punters were swimming against the tide after Monbeg Dude took the first leg. Ballista polished things off in leg four which means next weekend's bet will be worth nearly one million pounds," said Betfred spokesman Andrew Griffiths.
