Danedream Taken Out of Arc Market

Ladbrokes have removed leading fancy Danedream from their betting ahead of Sunday's Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp.

Last year's winner had been the firm's 4/1 joint favourite with Orfevre but could miss a repeat bid after Cologne racecourse, where she is stabled, was dramatically placed into quarantine on Monday afternoon.

The German track has been shut down for three months after a horse tested positive for an equine infection of the blood.

All horses based at Cologne cannot leave the racecourse, and that includes the Peter Schiergen-trained filly.

David Williams of Ladbrokes said: "We feel the prudent thing to do is take Danedream out of the list and await further news.

"She was joint-favourite for the Arc so her likely absence is a big blow for antepost punters."

Orfevre is now 3/1 clear favourite from 4/1 at Ladbrokes with Nathaniel second best at 4/1 from 5/1. Camelot is unchanged at 5/1.
