Sky Bet cut them to 7/1 from 10s, having initially offered 12s, while BetVictor went one step further and cut them to 13/2.
Betfred and Coral both reacted to the win with quotes of 8/1, leaving Paddy Power and Ladbrokes the only two firms offering 9/1.
"Atletico Madrid proved this evening why they are at the head of the Europa League betting, and having already done a demolition job on Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup, the 8/1 available for the Spanish side to successfully defend their title, could represent some decent value," said Coral spokesman Tim Reynolds.
Liverpool were also widely cut after a thrilling 5-3 win at Young Boys of Switzerland.
Brendan Rodgers' side took an early lead in fortunate circumstances before gifting their opponents an equaliser, but they managed to edge into a 2-1 lead at the break.
Young Boys flew out of the gates in the second-half though, going 3-2 up in a matter of minutes, before three unanswered goals gave Liverpool the points.
Sky Bet were sufficiently impressed to cut them to 9/1 second-favourites behind Atletico, but totesport and Betfred trimmed them only slightly to a standout 16/1.
Tottenham are just a couple of points shorter after playing out a 0-0 draw with in-form Lazio, who are 33/1 with William Hill and BetVictor, while Newcastle are generally 25/1 after they too drew 0-0 at Portuguese side Maritimo.
With all three English sides getting off to solid starts, William Hill make it 12/1 that two of them meet in the final.
"Liverpool provided a pulsating performance to overcome Young Boys with a largely second string side while Newcastle and Spurs will not be displeased with their results at this early stage," said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.
Napoli's 4-0 win over AIK Stockholm saw them cut to a general 16/1, the same price offered about Anzhi Makhachkala despite their concession of a late equaliser at 66/1 shots Udinese.
Inter twice came from behind to salvage a 2-2 draw against Rubin Kazan at the San Siro and they're out to 20/1 with BetVictor as a result.
