The Premier League concludes tonight in Grimsby with the final between Judd Trump and Stuart Bingham. Both players came through their semi-finals in a deciding frame against Neil Robertson and John Higgins respectively.
Trump has to be the selection here and we can discount his nervy display in the last four. During the match it was clear for both players how much was at stake and at times they seemed more worried about losing than winning. Robertson does play at a pedestrian pace sometimes - even in this event with the shot-clock.
He manages to make matches slightly more fractured than usual and he can be difficult to find any rhythm against which made Trump struggle. But that's now history and the World Number One will have completely forgotten about his tentative display and I expect him to win here readily.
Bingham though has nothing to lose. As the underdog and coming into the event with not too much expectation he is right to feel confident. He topped Group A which included a remarkable double whitewash last month and he again played well enough last night to fancy his chances - but he needs a good start.
If Trump does get in front early then his cue will start to flow and he could run away with it - not least because Bingham can get down on himself.
So we'll have a punt on Trump to win 7-0 at 33/1 (youwin), 7-1 at 14/1 (Sky Bet) and 7-2 at 8/1 (General).
