Newcastle v Reading (BC)
For all their troubles, Newcastle have found the net in 13 of their 15 home games in all competitions this year and have strikers aiming to prove a point given how well Demba Ba is doing at Chelsea.
They face a Reading defence without a single away clean sheet in 13 games this season and chances should arrive for the Newcastle attack.
Reading do offer a consistent goal threat though, with four goals in their last two away plus that remarkable effort against West Ham last Saturday, when they found the net three times late on.
This could be a defining game for both teams this season as both battle to regain some form.
Villa are in dire need of a boost and although they are the joint-lowest scorers in the top flight, they have created chances lately and this could well be the opportunity for striker Christian Benteke to rediscover his touch.
West Brom have slumped after such a promising start to the season but still possess plenty of threat in front of goal and if you needed convincing further, this fixture has plenty of recent history in producing goals with the local derby atmosphere ramping things up a notch or two.
Crystal Palace will be eager to get their automatic promotion hopes back on track this weekend as they host mid-table Bolton but there's plenty of reason to expect goals from both sides at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles, who have netted in every home league game this season, are still the Championship's highest scorers with 50 goals but their quest to finish in the top two has been hit by a run of just one win in their last seven outings.
This should give the Trotters extra belief of picking up at least a point as they look to climb within reach reach of the play-offs while Dougie Freedman returns to his old club on the back of watching a morale-boosting 2-0 victory at Sunderland in an FA Cup replay.
