LeBron James scored 32 points as the Miami Heat held on to beat the Charlotte Bobcats 101-97 and take a 2-0 lead in their Eastern Conference first-round play-off series.
It was Dwyane Wade (15) who had a steal in the final seconds to finally get the Heat over the line after they twice wasted big leads at the AmericanAirlines Arena.
Chris Bosh added 20 points for Miami while Michael Kidd-Gilchrist top-scored for the Bobcats with 22.
Forty-three points from LaMarcus Aldridge helped the Portland Trail Blazers clinch a 112-105 win over the Houston Rockets.
The results means Portland hold a 2-0 lead in the first-round series, whereas the Dallas Mavericks managed to draw level with the San Antonio Spurs at 1-1 by triumphing 113-92 at the AT&T Center.
Monta Ellis' 21 points and 20 from Shawn Marion proved crucial as the Mavericks atoned for the 90-85 defeat they suffered in their play-off opener.
