Ben Coley tipped up Ian Poulter in his ante-post analysis at 20/1 and a two-point each-way stake resulted in his preview - posted on both Sportinglife.com and sister site Bettingzone.co.uk - reaping an overall profit of 42 points.
Ben's views proved spot on as things unfolded at Mission Hills.
He wrote last week: "Poulter has an excellent record in Asia, with wins in the Barclays Singapore Open, UBS Hong Kong Open and Japan's Dunlop Phoenix.
"In addition, his last competitive win came at around this time last year in Australia's JBWere Masters at Victoria Golf Club in Melbourne, a classic Sandbelt track.
"Better still, Poulter played all three World Cups here from 2007 to 2009, finishing fourth, sixth and fourth alongside his compatriot to demonstrate that he can certainly score at the venue.
"Finally, don't underestimate the confidence he took from Medinah. We all knew Poulter lived for the Ryder Cup before that week, but what he achieved went beyond even his own expectations. He was simply inspirational, and should be inspired to end the year well.
"Indeed, after the 2010 Ryder Cup he went on to win in Asia and a repeat is very much on the cards here."
As our regular followers will know, the success is far from a one-off either.
Ben himself successfully picked out Richie Ramsay to win the Omega European Masters at 100/1 in September.
Last month his colleague David John selected Branden Grace to win the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at 50/1 and the South African duly delivered with a wire-to-wire victory.
In the same event, our tipster had Victor Dubuisson placed at 100/1, while David also had Poulter placed at 30/1 in the recent BMW Masters.
And prior to that Dave Tindall nailed the correct match score in the Ryder Cup - Europe winning 14.5 to 13.5 at odds of 11/1.
