The governing body have called a press conference where they will unveil the successor to the departed Charles Van Commenee.
UKA's new performance director Neil Black will announce his most significant appointment to date at 11am.
Black revealed last week that he had been "really pleased and excited" with the applicants they had had for the role.
An external appointment seems very likely, given the favourite, Canadian Kevin Tyler, has opted to return to his home country with his family, ruling him out of contention for the job.
Black had previously described Tyler, UKA's strategic head of coaching and development, as a "strong contender" to succeed Van Commenee.
Van Commenee decided to step down after the Great Britain team failed to meet his own target of eight medals at the London Games.
