The Indoor Arena forms part of the Helliniko Olympic Complex which is situated to the south of the city.
It is built on the site of the city's former airport.
With a capacity of more than 14,000, the Indoor Arena hosts the preliminary rounds of the basketball and the handball finals.
It is an older building which has been extended in order to stage Olympic events.
