SMOOTH START FOR SELES
Third seed Monica Seles breezed into the second round of the Olympic women's singles event.
The American took just 48 minutes to beat Hungary's Katalin Marosi-Aracama.
Seles, who lost in the quarter-finals in Atlanta four years ago, opened the action on the first day of the tournament with Wimbledon and US Open champion Venus Williams scheduled to close the show on opening night at Olympic Park.
