IAN DOESN'T WYNNE IN THE KAYAK

Ian Wynne bowed out of the race for medals in the third semi-final of the K1 500m sprint as he paddled his kayak to a fourth place.

Wynne's time of one minute 41.486 seconds was not fast enough to qualify for the final.

Anna Hemmings clocked 58.040 secs as her kayak crossed the line last in the women's K1 500M semi-final, ending her Olympics.

Paul Darby-Dowman and Ross Sabberton were seventh in the two-man kayak 500m semi-final, their 1:33.173 not good enough to go through to the final.

And in the two-man canoe, brothers Andrew and Stephen Train were last of nine entrants (1:49.931) in their semi to miss out on the C2 500m final.
