Jane Smith scored 269.22 points in the women's three-metre springboard preliminary round on Wednesday to finish in 14th place - putting her into the semi-final.

Karen Smith, who teamed up with Smith in the synchronised three-metre springboard event at the European Championships in Helsinki earlier this summer and finished fourth, was not among the 18 to go through.

She accumulated 224.58 points, giving her a ranking of 31st out of 43 entrants.
