Ian Wynne qualified with ease for the semi-finals of the 500 metres Kayak
sprint.

In the two-man canoe (C2 500m), brothers Andrew and Stephen Train came in
fifth in their heat with a time of 1:46.986, putting them also into the semi-final.
Team manager Alan Williams said: ``Ian Wynne put in a good performance and
looked to be very comfortable over the last 150m, and the Train brothers were
glad to get more start practice today as part of the build-up for their main
event which is the 1000m.''
Anna Hemmings could only manage eighth place in her women's K1 500m sprint
with a time of 1:59.190 - five seconds off her personal best.
