STOTT AIMS TO REIGN OVER SPAIN
Great Britain captain Pauline Stott admits her team are under pressure to beat
Spain on Friday but remains confident about their chances of qualifying for the
next 'Super Six' stage of the tournament.
However, their chances depend on Spain's result against Argentina and
Britain will be eliminated if Spain triumph.
Stott said: "We're familiar with Spain's style and the way they pack the
defence. All we can do is believe in ourselves and have the confidence to go out
and do it. It's up to us to make it happen."
Britain performance director Chris Spice claimed the squad would be relying on
preparation by the backroom staff. "We're very grateful for the invaluable job
they do and it should stand us in good stead for the match."
