Harrison lands another big shot.
HARRISON v VIDOZ ROUND-BY-ROUND
ROUND FOUR: The fighters touch gloves to begin the final round, with Harrison just three minutes away from a guaranteed silver medal. The Briton starts the round brilliantly with a tremendous barrage of punches, and races into a 21-14 lead. Now Vidoz has a nasty cut underneath his eye and the doctor is inspecting to see if the Italian can continue. He gets the go-ahead with just over a minute to go, but surely Harrison is home and hosed. A lovely left takes him nine points clear and the fight appears to be in the bag. Vidoz misses with a big right and is hit be a left on the counter from Harrison. Now the Briton leads by 10 points and lands a beautiful uppercut to make it 32-16. Vidoz takes another standing count with less than 10 second remaining. The clock is stopped as Vidoz has his laces retied, but the bell sounds and Harrison wins easily to take a place in the final and a guaranteed silver medal.
ROUND THREE: Vidoz comes out for round three after having blood mopped from his face, and Harrison resumes his assault. The Briton is allowing Vidoz to turn the bout into a brawl at close quarters, and he cuts the lead to four points. Now the gap is down to 14-11 as Harrison continues to fight off the back foot. He's handing the initiative to Vidoz, a dangerous game. At last Harrison produces an impressive burst to move ahead 17-12 with just over 30 seconds remaining in the round. Again Vidoz is allowed to score at close quarters and the round ends with the Briton leading 17-14.
ROUND TWO: Harrison begins round two in control of the fight with a four-point lead. The Briton jabs and moves and is skilfully dominating the bout. Two more big shots take him into a 10-4 lead before Vizoz hits back. The Italian's face is a bloody mess and the Briton continues to keep him at arm's length. Harrison allows Vidoz to unload a combination at close quarters, and his lead is cut to 12-98 with 30 seconds of the round remaining. Now Harrison has to have his trunks adjusted. The Italian meanwhile, standing in the neutral corner, is breathing very heavily. Harrison continues to box well as the round ends, and finishes the round 14-9 ahead.
ROUND ONE: Vidoz scores the first point early with a job, but Harrison fights back and tries to establish his jab. Harrison finds his range a minute into the bout and storms into a 6-2 lead with a fearsome barrage of punches. Vidoz has to take a standing eight count and has sustained what looks like a broken nose. Vidoz comes forward with an air of desperation in his movement. Now Vidoz hammers his shots to the body of Harrison to pull back to 4-6, but Harrison ends the round superbly by adding two more points to lead 8-4.
