The Philadelphia Eagles have signed free agent wide receiver Kevin Curtis to a six-year contract.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The 5ft 11in, 186lb Curtis is a possible replacement for Donte Stallworth, who signed with the New England Patriots on Tuesday for a reported US$30million over six years.
Stallworth caught 38 passes for 725 yards and five TDs for Philadelphia last season.
"Kevin's a guy that we've liked all along," Eagles general manager Tom Heckert said.
"He's got great speed and run-after-the-catch ability. Kevin's a calm, smart guy that goes out and plays football. He definitely brings tremendous speed to our team."
Curtis, 28, caught 40 passes for 479 yards and four touchdowns in 2006 for the St Louis Rams. A 2003 third-round pick of the Rams, Curtis has appeared in 51 games, hauling in 136 passes for 1,714 yards and 12 touchdowns.
