The NFL have fined the New York Jets and former coach Eric Magnini $125,000 on Wednesday for failing to report then-quarterback Brett Favre's arm injury last season.
League officials said the Jets were fined $75,000 and Jets president Mike Tannenbaum and Magnini - who now coaches Cleveland - were fined $25,000 apiece.
The Jets failed to place Favre on their injury report during the final month of last season even though he had a torn biceps tendon.
Last week, Tannenbaum admitted the Jets should have listed Favre as "probable" on their injury reports, according to NFL policy on injury reporting.
The NFL requires that all players with significant or noteworthy injuries must be listed, even if the player takes all the repetitions in practice and even if the team expect him to play.
Favre, who now plays for the Minnesota Vikings, played in the final five games last season, but with the arm injury that required off-season surgery.
He sparked a probe by the league when he said this month the Jets knew of his injury.
