The Cleveland Browns signed linebacker Beau Bell and their four other draft picks to four-year contracts, the team announced on Tuesday.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
A fourth-round pick out of UNLV, Bell recorded career-highs of 126 tackles - 9.5 for a loss - and five forced fumbles and four interceptions as a senior. Overall, Bell tallied 320 tackles, 10.5 sacks, four interceptions, six forced fumbles and one recovered fumble.
Bell was Cleveland's first selection because of a flurry of trades pulled off over the last two years. The Browns' 2008 first-round pick was dealt to Dallas in a 2007 draft day trade that enabled Cleveland to draft quarterback Brady Quinn.
Then, prior to this year's draft, the Browns traded their second-round pick to Detroit for defensive tackle Shaun Rogers, and sent their third-round pick to Green Bay for defensive tackle Corey Williams.
Cleveland also signed former Missouri tight end Martin Rucker, their second fourth-round pick. Rucker started all 14 games as a senior, setting a school season-record with 84 receptions for 834 yards and eight touchdowns.
In addition, the Browns signed sixth-round pick Ahytba Rubin, a defensive tackle from Iowa State and Wisconsin receiver Paul Hubbard (sixth) as well as linebacker Alex Hall (seventh, Division II St Augustine).
