The Tennessee Titans enjoyed a day of history to bring a smile to their fans after a forgettable season, as they beat Jacksonville Jaguars 38-20.

Both teams have had seasons to forget, but the Titans at least salvaged some history as they had two players score two touchdowns each on returns.

Darius Reynard ran back two punts while rookie linebacker Zach Brown returned two interceptions to the end zone to mark a remarkable first for the NFL.

It capped their second win in their final three games and that slight show of form could just be enough for owner Bud Adams to keep head coach Mike Munchak for another season - despite their defence conceding a league-worst 465 points.

The Jaguars are in all sorts of problems after completing a 2-14 season with their only possible consolation being the first pick in April's draft depend on other results.

Reynard ran back punts for TDs of 69 and 81 yards and Brown galloped in for his two scores as the Titans defence and special teams combined for 28 straight points whilst the offence again struggled.

Chris Johnson scored the only offensive touchdown as Jake Locker threw for 152 yards without a score - and Rob Bironas' field goal added the only other points.

Jaguars QB Chad Henne had a better day with touchdown passes to Jordan Shipley and Justin Blackmon, but he also threw three interceptions in another disappointing outing for Jacksonville.
