Silver for sculling duo
Zac Purchase and Mark Hunter narrowly missed out on successfully defending their Olympic lightweight men's double sculls title in a race that had to be restarted in dramatic fashion.

The boats were less than a hundred yards into the race when Purchase's seat broke and the umpire stopped all the crews and ordered a restart.
When the real action belatedly began, it looked like the duo were remarkably going to hang on for gold only to be pipped in the final few yards by Denmark.
Hunter was devastated to surrender his Olympic crown.
"We wanted this race so badly," he told BBC1. "Sorry to everybody that we've let down."
Purchase said the problem at the start did not affect their race.
"We did the best race we could," he said. "We've really enjoyed being part of this amazing team. I just wish we could have been a bit quicker."
