Joe Durant rallied to win his second PGA title in 14 days as a closing seven-under-par round of 65 secured the Genuity Championship in Miami.
He was four strokes behind when the day began but an 18-under total of 270
left him two clear of Canadian overnight leader Mike Weir.
With thunderstorms expected in the afternoon the final round began on two tees
at 7.30 in the morning and Durant opened with an eagle at the par-five first
hole while Weir was still waiting to tee off.
Weir stumbled to a final-round 71 as Durant added six birdies between
intermittent rain drops on the way to his third career title.
Durant's first win of the year came two weeks ago at the five-round Bob Hope
Classic when he fired a 61 in the second round and set a 90-hole PGA scoring
record.
England's Edward Fryatt closed with a 70 to finish well down the field on 287,
which was one better than Nick Faldo after his level-par 72.
