Jim Furyk fired a five under par 65 in Sunday's final round to win the Canadian Open, posting a one-shot victory for his 12th career PGA Tour title.
At 14-under 266 for the tournament, Furyk finished a stroke in front of Bart Bryant with Sean O'Hair another shot back.
Heading to the World Match Play Championship at Wentworth before moving on to the K Club in Ireland for his fifth Ryder Cup appearance, Furyk earned USD 900,000 for his second victory of the season.
Furyk had five birdies and a bogey through 14 holes and added what proved to be the winning birdie at the par-5 17th.
He had carded early birdies at the third and fourth before giving back a shot at the sixth.
Furyk got back on track with a birdie at seven and added two more on his first four holes of the back nine.
Bryant carded a three under 67 to finish at 13-under 267.
He pulled within a shot of the lead with a birdie at 17, but having birdied the 18th in each of the two previous rounds, he left himself with a 50 foot attempt at the final hole and could not convert.
O'Hair shot a 68 and finished third at 12-under 268.
Justin Rose entered the final round with a one-shot lead, but he was unable to hold on for his first win on the PGA Tour.
Rose had eight pars and a bogey at the fourth on the front nine and carded the first birdie of his round at the tenth.
However, a double-bogey on the par-4 11th knocked him out of contention as he finished with a four-over 74 and had to settle for a share of 14th at 7-under.
