Kenny Perry tamed demanding conditions to clinch a two-stroke victory at the Memorial Tournament on Sunday.

Perry carded a rock solid three-under-par 69 to record his 10th PGA Tour victory, becoming just the second player after Tiger Woods to win the prestigious event three times.

He finished on eight-under 280 at Muirfield Village, boosting his Ryder Cup hopes in the process by moving up to fifth in the American standings.

Jerry Kelly (71), Mike Weir (71), Mathew Goggin (74) and England's Justin Rose (71) tied for second on six-under.

Goggin, who started the day with a three-shot lead, surrendered his advantage with two early bogeys.
