Jason Gore just held on to complete his first PGA Tour win - a one-shot victory in the 84 Lumber Classic in Pennsylvania.

Gore, leading by two strokes entering the final round, increased his advantage to four with five holes to play before faltering with bogeys on the 14th and 17th holes.

Paraguay's Carlos Franco parred his final hole to complete a three-under-par 69 and remain within one shot of Gore, whose errant tee shot on the par-four 18th left him looking at a potential bogey and play-off.

Unflustered, Gore played out of deep rough to a spot off the front of the green about 90 feet from the hole.

He elected to putt instead of chipping and lagged a superb shot within two feet of the cup before tapping in.

Gore carded a final-round 70 and finished at 14 under on 274.

It was actually his fourth win of the season, but the first three came in a five-week span this summer on the Nationwide Tour.

Ben Crane was third, three shots behind Gore, after a final-round 67 with Tim Herron a further stroke behind.

World number two Vijay Singh finished joint 13th after shooting a 68.
