Tiger Woods (69-272): "I made a mess of it at 14 and Woody was playing well, Ernie was making a move and I knew I had to bear down. I felt when I got to nine under par at the eighth I should shoot level par for the back nine. On 15 I said I had got myself into this mess so get yourself out of it and I made birdie there."

Simon Dyson (64-280): "Yeah, everything just seemed to click today. It was good. I drove the ball well, which you've really got to do around here. And managed to find the flag with some irons as well and had some putts. One of the best days I've had for a long time."

Trevor Immelman (69-280): "The last three or four months, I've really played some pretty poor golf. You know, it was upsetting me because I put a lot of work into it and I couldn't quite find it. You know, like I said, the last couple of weeks, things have felt like they started to turn around and it was nice to come here and put a good result on the board."

Stuart Appleby (69-282): "Yeah, happy with the way I played this week. Yeah, I have to say pretty good. The conditions were certainly a few shots out there that were tough just under the duress of the heat and so on. But, I mean, everyone was going through that and all players are good at playing the violin, but I was very happy with the way I played. Some good things there. I would like to have cracked into the top 10, but generally pretty happy."

Lee Westwood (68-286): "No bogeys, two birdies. I played well and I hit a lot of fairways. It wasn't too bad a week - I started well and finished well. But I've got to keep working on my technique and get my swing more consistent and hit more fairways."

Phil Mickelson (69-286): "I'll certainly take a bogey-free round on Sunday. I played very well, had a chance to get the round going. I think I missed only one green the first 13 holes and had a lot of chances for birdies; didn't make any; made one on 17. Otherwise, I had a nice Faldo round going where he won the British at Muirfield with no birdies, no bogeys. That's kind of where I was headed until 17."
