The critics still say that Poulter make more headlines with his clothes than his golf but that's a little harsh. This dedicated follower of fashion has played a lot of good stuff in recent majors and managed at least a top 13 finish in all four in the last three years. The best of those was a ninth place in this event last year so he could just prove to be one of Europe's best hopes. Tee to green, Poulter is playing well enough to challenge seriously but his putter has been holding him back. If it heats up Poulter will be confident that he can follow in the footsteps of Padraig Harrington and make it back-to-back majors for Europe.
