Day Three

Phil Mickelson (72 - 204): "I thought after the start that I had, I had a couple of tough breaks and made three bogeys. I thought for me to fight and still be in the lead is a huge boost because guys were out there making birdies, and I was going the other way. To gut it out and play the last 12 holes without a bogey, make that one birdie and still be in the lead is I think a huge success for the day."

Davis Love (68 - 204): "Yeah, I'm confident and excited about the way I'm playing and looking forward to the next round. I'm hitting the ball more solidly than I have in a while. I think it was at Congressional, the Booz Allen, I was really hitting the ball well, and I'm starting to get that feeling again and then I'm holing a few putts. That's a secret here, hit the fairways and hole some putts."

Thomas Bjorn (63 - 205): "I came here with absolutely no expectations, but I must be a bit further in my swing changes than I thought I was! This 63 is not about records, it's about this championship, and that's all it means to me, that I got myself into position where I can play from here, and I'm going to try my hardest tomorrow again and then we'll see."

Pat Perez (67 - 206): "I really haven't felt confident yet. I made a few swing changes on Tuesday and worked on them until dark; and Wednesday did the same thing, because I teed off late Thursday. I'm still not hitting it quite how I want to. I'm still hitting some shots, and I'm never really certain if the ball is going to go where I want it to. But I'm hitting it good enough to where I'm not in a lot of trouble, and that's the key on this course."

Ben Curtis (67 - 207): "I just got lucky with a few long putts going in. I had good pace on them and I had a good read. I like the way I'm lagging the ball close to the hole. I'm trying to hit it in the middle of the green as close to pin high as possible and try to give myself a decent look at it.

Jason Bohn (68 - 207): "I've got absolutely nothing to lose. If I can play a good solid round, shoot 2 or 3 under par tomorrow and see what happens, that's great. I'm going to go out and keep smiling and have a lot of fun."

Greg Owen (70 - 207): "I played really well, but just made a couple of bad swings. I am still in there, though, and I just need the putts drop for me."

Lee Westwood (71 - 207): "I am delighted. I really battled it out."

Tiger Woods (66 - 210): "I didn't get it as low as I wanted and I'm a little hot right now. I'm disappointed because I had four opportunities on the back nine and could easily have been three shots better. If the leaders shoot in the mid-60s this afternoon, guys like myself will be hard pressed to win this tournament."
