Day TwoPhil Mickelson (65 - 132): "I have a little bit different feeling heading into this tournament than I've had in some of the others. I feel a lot more confident in my game than I did heading into the other majors."
Jerry Kelly (65 - 135): "I've been playing pretty consistent around the greens, it's such a long course for me, I've got such long irons in my hand, I can't fire at a ton of pins. So it takes pressure off my game, hitting to the middle of the greens, leaving myself 20, 30 footers and I'm putting well enough to make some of those."
Davis Love (68 - 136): "You've got to hit a lot of fairways, and if you don't, it's hard to score. This golf course will bite you if you don't pay attention to what you're doing, so keep playing one shot at a time."
Lee Westwood (68 - 136): "I thought I'd give it a try. It's not really a golf psychologist, more a
sort of lifestyle psychologist, I suppose. He's made me think a little bit clearer."
Greg Owen (69 - 137): "I hope I play as well the last two rounds as I have the first two and that a few more putts go in."
Retief Goosen (70 - 138): "I didn't play all that well today. I missed a lot of fairways, so I was struggling really out there, but level par is about as good as I could have played."
Tiger Woods (69 - 144): "I didn't know what the number was to be honest with you until 18. Stevie told me I needed to make birdie on the last hole. I said, "All right, I can do that." But other than that I was just trying to get back to even par for the tournament. That was my whole goal throughout the day, get back to even par. All day I felt pretty good with my golf swing. My putting was a different story. I didn't putt well early at all, at all, bad speed, bad line, everything."
