Day One
Trevor Immelman (67): "The scoring conditions are perfect, but it just goes to show there are 18 really strong holes on this golf course. Any one of them can bite you at any time."
Ben Curtis (67): "I hit a couple of bad approach shots and I could have left 1 or 2 over after those holes but I was still under par. I think those were the two key holes."
Greg Owen (68): "I really enjoy it over here. The heat's a lot easier on my back for one thing and the atmosphere is fantastic."
Ian Poulter (69): "Hot and steamy - I'm always happy playing in this heat. I'm not
saying the course is easy, but if you put it in play it's playable."
Stephen Dodd (74): "I've not played well for six or seven weeks and am not enjoying it at the moment. It's just hard."
Tiger Woods (75): "All day I was grinding but I stayed as patient as possible and I have three
more days to get back into it. I'll go home, relax and put this day behind
me."
Colin Montgomerie (77): "I didn't have any timing from the word go. You can't hit
it the right distance if you are not timing it. But a 67 tomorrow and I can get back into things."
