USPGA PROFILE
Toms claimed this title back in 2001 at Atlanta Athletic Club, his circumspect approach on the last hole when laying up paying dividends as his 15-foot par putt finally saw off the threat of Phil Mickelson. That remains his only major title to date but few would argue he does not have the ability to double that tally this week if bringing his ‘A’ game to the table. 2005 has been a mixture of peaks and troughs for the Louisiana native and he seems to be in the latter currently after disqualifying himself from the Open Championship at St Andrews.
