Two more wins for Perry in another highly profitable campaign and a major crown would certainly be the highlight amongst his continuing success. He will always be remembered for fluffing his chance in this event back in 1996 at Valhalla that has been eclipsed by a resurgence in his career over the past few seasons that turned him from journeyman into a top-class performer. He finished T25 when the US Open was staged at Baltusrol back in 1993 and that course knowledge could prove crucial to his challenge.
