BROADHURST TURNS DOWN PLACE
Paul Broadhurst has turned down his invite to the USPGA as it clashes with his 40th birthday.
Broadhurst had been invited alongside fellow Englishmen Steve Webster and Nick Dougherty to the year's final major at Baltusrol in New Jersey.
But Broadhurst has confirmed that his 40th birthday plans are too far down the road to cancel and he will not be taking his place in the field.
It means there will now be 31 Europeans taking part. The full list is: Thomas Bjorn, Paul Casey, Alex Cejka, Darren Clarke, Brian Davis, Stephen Dodd, Nick Dougherty, Luke Donald, Niclas Fasth, Stephen Gallacher, Sergio Garcia, Peter
Hanson, Padraig Harrington, David Howell, Fredrik Jacobson, Miguel Angel
Jimenez, Maarten Lafeber, Bernhard Langer, Thomas Levet, Graeme McDowell, Paul
McGinley, Colin Montgomerie, Jose Maria Olazabal, Greg Owen, Jesper Parnevik,
Ian Poulter, Jean-Francois Remesy, Henrik Stenson, Steve Webster and Lee Westwood.
