USPGA QUOTES

Vijay Singh (69): "I didn't drive the ball as good as yesterday. I didn't hit it as close as yesterday, but I managed to score well. Thank God for the little putter of mine; it kept me in play. I guess that's what it takes. But still playing well. Swinging the club well, and stroking the putter really good. So, I'll be excited for tomorrow."

Justin Leonard (70): "I missed a few fairways, but I hit some smart shots today and gave myself some chances, and much like I've done most of the week, I've taken advantage of the opportunities that I've had and tried to minimize some of the mistakes."

Phil Mickelson (67): "Well, it was a good round. I would have taken 5-under. I was hoping for 7 starting the day. I would have thought if I could get to 10, that would be a great spot. But, at least I have a chance. I could go play a solid round tomorrow. I know could I shoot quite a few under par on this golf course, and if I do that, I should have a good opportunity."

Tiger Woods (69): "First day, I haven't putted that poorly in a very long time. Yesterday I got back to normal and today I putted decent, not great."

Colin Montgomerie (78): (Took a nine at the fifth) "It knocked the wind out of me - it really hurt. "I hit the drive 15 yards right of where I was aiming. One bad shot and there has to be a lake in the way. It's amazing. But never mind, I'll try again tomorrow. There's nothing wrong with my game. A couple of shots get away here and you run up a high number."
