USPGA PROFILE
Furyk has shown signs in recent events that 2004 might not be a total write-off following surgery on a wrist problem in January that has limited the 2003 US Open champions to just six events so far. Two top-10 finishes from his last three outings suggest he is heading back towards 100 percent fitness and his ultra-reliable game in all areas makes him worthy of consideration for any major championship. However a word of caution - this is a brute of a course and Furyk could be found out by his lack of yardage from the tee.
