Shaun Micheel (70): "I really can't believe that this happened to me. I showed up here on Tuesday to play a practice round and saw how difficult this golf course was. And after last week, I just was trying to make the cut. I know that sounds pretty simple, but really, that was my main goal, and I probably would have been happy with that. I didn't play particularly well today, I managed to hang on, and thank goodness for a short game."
Chad Campbell (72): "Played pretty solid the whole way in until 14. Drove it in the bunker and hit a bad bunker shot. But other than that, pretty pleased with the way I played. Sure wish I could have got a couple more of those putts to drop. But happy with the way I played."
Tiger Woods (73): "It was a tough week. I didn't hit the ball as well as I needed to. I putted great all week. Unfortunately, they were all for pars and a few for bogeys. I didn't make any doubles for the week, though, which was good, the only good thing, I guess. I bogeyed one-fourth of the holes this week. That's not good. Didn't make any birdies at all, only had six birdies. It was a tough week. I fought just to shoot bad. That's what was frustrating."
Paul Casey (76): "It was pretty horrible to be honest and I'm not afraid to say that that is really boring - not enjoyable whatsoever. I've a hard time understanding why they (the organising PGA of America) want par to be a winning score. My golf is to go at pins and attack, but when it's like this I've got to alter my thinking and learn to plod away. I would sign a petition asking that other courses are not set up like this."
