| A win at Winged Foot in this event back in 1997 amazingly remains Davis Love's only Major title - hard to believe considering the talent this guy possesses. A fourth at the Open Championship could have been so much better but for a sluggish start to his opening nine holes on the closing day though he did gain a degree of compensation by romping away with The International. Love has phenomenal power but maintains a high degreee of contol on the golf ball - the key differnece between wining weeks and near-misses tend to be his performance on the greens. |
