| Retief Goosen has used his win at the 2001 US Open as the springboard for further success around the globe. His approach is very similar to that of South African compatriot Ernie Els as he is not afraid to compete in both America and around Europe - which he does with great success. Although winless in 2003, he has come close on a number of occasions and the fact he is a proven performer on the big day bodes well for his chance this week. He has one of the most fluid swings around and can make scoring look incredibly easy when the putter gets hot. |
